This was a photograph I took in my own garden. An open country Butterfly that is seen in most types of habitat, from sub-alpine tussocklands to coastal dunes

Two butterfly paintings destined for Art Expo Nelson, the other painting on the left is of a Boulder Copper, very similar to the Common Copper but commonly found in tussocky country and braided rivers.
