There is a little bit of a story behind her. She was handreared on my Aunt and Uncle's farm (Mary & Pat of Waikakaho Valley, Marlborough). She's a Hungarian Red Deer and was at the time I took this photo, around 6 months. She's unnamed in life, so she gets called Bambi mostly, doesn't get on with the dogs or the sheep, possibly thinks she's a cat!! She's so gentle and graceful I couldn't take my eyes off her.
Closeup of the scratch work
This lovely new faux leather moulding from Larson Juhl (Angus Dutch Black), combined with a Petite Black inner fillet. Really pleased with the combination. The distressed texture of the faux leather looks (and feels) so authentic, whilst adding warmth to the b&w scratchboard.
...and here she is feeling quite at home sitting in the lounge with us!! She is beautiful.
